The French defender is looking to tinker with his training regime as he looks to pick up his form in the coming weeks.
The Frenchman, who was released by Barcelona at the end of last season after beating cancer, returned to his first club in the summer.
However, he believes that his performances for the Ligue 1 title contenders have been somewhat underwhelming, while promising to work on his issues.
"I'm not here to lie or cheat," he told L'Equipe. "In any case, this sort of thing is season on the pitch. When you are less good, you have to be able to say it.
"I'm certainly going to change my training methods so that I'm fresher in my limbs and head. It's not a question of doing less, on the contrary. I love running. I'm going to put myself in more danger so I'm more reactive. I've lost that in the last few matches."
Monaco hosts reigning Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain at 3 p.m. Eastern on Sunday.
