Alex in talks over new Paris Saint-Germain deal

The Brazilian center half is under contract until the summer of 2015 but hopes to remain in the French capital for another "year or two".
Paris Saint-Germain defender Alex revealed he is in talks with the club over extending his stay at the Parc des Princes.

The Brazilian's current contract is set to expire in June 2015 and 31-year-old hopes to agree to an extension soon.

“We are negotiating my renewal,” Alex told reporters. “I’m fine here, and I would like to sign another contract for a year or two.”

The veteran center half, who was last capped by Brazil in 2008, joined PSG from Chelsea in January 2012 for a reported 5 million Euros.

Despite the presence of compatriots Thiago Silva and Marquinhos at the Parc des Princes, Alex has made 11 appearances in Ligue 1 so far this season.
