Malouda moves to Trabzonspor

The France international passed a medical with the Turkish outfit on Wednesday before putting pen to paper on a two-year contract.

Trabzonspor has completed the signing of Florent Malouda on a free transfer after the midfielder left Chelsea.

The France international was frozen out of the Blues first-team squad last season, after electing to see out the final year of his contract with the club rather than accept a wage cut to move elsewhere. Malouda had been linked with a return to France with Marseille, as well as Serie A outfit Napoli, but he has instead penned a two-year contract with the Turkish side.

The versatile winger scored 45 goals in 220 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea, following his arrival from Lyon in the summer of 2007.

The 33-year-old lifted one Premier League title, three FA Cups and a Champions League during his stay at Stamford Bridge.
