Lisandro Lopez has completed his switch from Porto to Lyon.
Lisandro Lopez has completed his switch from Porto to Lyon.
Lyon have paid the Portuguese champions €24 million, plus a potential further €4 million based on results. This represents the highest transfer fee in the club's history.
The 26-year-old Lisandro had been at Porto for four seasons, scoring 63 goals in 143 appearances.
After losing Karim Benzema and Kader Keita to Real Madrid and Galatasary respectively, Lyon will be glad to secure a replacement striker with Lisandro's pedigree.
Lyon are coming off the first season in eight years in which they have not been crowned champions of Ligue 1. Lisandro will not have to wait long to play his former club, as they are set to clash in the Peace Cup.
