Report: PSG Ready To Pounce For Inter Star Patrick Vieira
Paris Saint-Germain are hot on the heels of the Inter star.
Inter midfielder Patrick Vieira is being tipped to move to French club Paris Saint-Germain, according to L'Equipe.
The report suggests PSG are ready to offer Inter a €10 million bid for the 33-year-old. It is suggested that Claude Makelele, who has been tipped to extend his deal at the Parc des Princes for another year, is pushing the midfielder towards Paris.
Vieira is expected to leave Milan as he has not played regular football under Jose Mourinho. He has made just 13 appearances this term, scoring once. Voices suggest he is not keen on bench warming until his deal in Milan expires in 2010.
Italian news site Sportmediaset.it claims the Ligue 1 side are serious about the Frenchman. However, PSG have been lamenting their financial position of late and, unless they receive a sudden influx of cash, a price tag such as €10m would appear unattainable to them.
