Nasri in four-letter outburst at journalist after Spain defeat

The Manchester City midfielder also challenged a member of the press to a fight after being asked his reaction to France's Euro 2012 exit.
France midfielder Samir Nasri was involved in a foul-mouthed altercation with a journalist following his side's Euro 2012 exit on Saturday evening.

The 24-year-old was questioned by press after France's 2-0 defeat by Spain but reportedly responded with "you're always wanting to write crap stuff about us" before hurling abusive insults towards a journalist working for the AFP and challenging him to a fight.

The French Football Federation has since announced that Sunday's press conferences have been cancelled.

Nasri, who had started all three of France's group games, began his side's quarterfinal tie on the bench before coming on after 65 minutes as Laurent Blanc's side was dumped out of the tournament following a goal in each half from Xabi Alonso. has a new podcast!
