The 34-year-old praised Portugal coach Paulo Bento who guided the Euro 2004 runners-up to the semifinals, and he thinks it can go all of the way this year.
Former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas believes Portugal can win Euro 2012 after it progressed to the semifinals.Cristiano Ronaldo's header gave the Seleccao the vital goal in the 1-0 quarterfinal win against Czech Republic, and they now face the possibility of playing Spain or France in the semifinal.
Portugal, which began the tournament badly with a 1-0 defeat to fellow semifinalist Germany, has now won three consecutive games including the 2-1 defeat of Holland.
And Villas-Boas feels that Portugal's boss Paulo Bento is doing a great job.
"There has been an evolution after every match. Portugal have the right coach," Villas-Boas told reporters. "Yesterday, we took another decisive step and we have every chance to win the tournament."
Villas-Boas, meanwhile, has been heavily linked with the vacant managerial position at Tottenham after Harry Redknapp was sacked by chairman Daniel Levy.
