The Seleccao legend revealed that he cried following Paulo Bento's side's win over the Czech Republic but remained coy on his nation's chances of victory at Euro 2012
Paulo Bento's side became the first team to reach the semifinals of the tournament following Thursday's 1-0 victory against Czech Republic.
And the 70-year-old revealed he was misty-eyed after the match and admitted to being thrilled that the players were able to silence their critics.
"I am a happy man thanks to these players, who played very well," Eusebio told RTP. "They were being persecuted by the press, but we are in the semi-finals now.
"I would like to thank the players and the technical staff, because I know what they are feeling. After the match, I hugged Luis Figo and tears rolled down my face. We are not yet champions, but who knows? There are only two matches left."
The Euro 2004 runners-up will now lock horns with the winner of the quarterfinal match between France and Spain, which takes place on Saturday.
