thumbnail Hello,

Portugal winger Nani pleased to net twice in convincing Euro 2012 win over Denmark.

Two-goal hero Nani hailed the performance of Portugal as they edged their Euro 2012 campaign back on track with a 3-1 victory over Denmark at the Estadio do Dragao.

The Manchester United winger netted two quick-fire goals in the first half to aid new coach Paulo Bento to a crucial victory, with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring late on to secure the win.

Responding to journalists after the match, he spoke of his satisfaction at the victory, he stated, “There were two moments of inspiration, we were very focused for this game, and we made many opportunities to score.

“I am happy to have helped the team win. We produced a great performance and this result makes out position stronger in the group.

He also briefly stated that the players are content with playing under Bento after the acrimonious departure of Carlos Queiroz, who left earlier this year.

He added, “Paulo Bento remains the same type of coach. The players are happy.”

Portugal have now taken four points from their first three qualifying matches on the road to Euro 2012.
