The veteran Seattle ‘keeper earned Man of the Match honors for his three second-half saves.

SEATTLE – Seattle and Chicago ended the half with the home side holding on to a 2-1 edge.  Scoring for Seattle were Steve Zakuani and O’Brian White.  The Fire’s Diego Chaves notched his third goal in three matches.  The win gave the home side their first three points of the young season.

In their post-match comments, the Sounders’ head coach Sigi Schmid and Zakuani lauded the performance of the Seattle goalie.  Keller is planning to retire once the 2011 MLS season concludes.   

Chicago head coach Carlos de los Cobos praised his squad’s performance.  Chaves scored the only goal for the Fire.  He  was despondent despite his tally, but noted that Keller was the difference in the match.
