Brazil defender Thiago Silva admits he is enjoying working with David Luiz, as the duo form a new and strong center-back pairing for the Selecao.

Silva and Luiz have taken over from "legendary" combination Juan and Lucio, as coach Mano Menezes sees as the future.

"He has a personality and it is wonderful to play with him," Silva said about Luiz to Record. "He is a young player, and we get along well.

"We are in a new phase in our national team, as the pairing of Juan and Lucio was the best of the past few years - a legendary combination.

"Should either of them be called up again to the national team, they would be very welcome," the Milan stopper concluded.
