Roma have presented new signing Adriano to the public at the Flaminio Stadium. The 28-year-old's eagerly anticipated transfer to the Serie A outfit was completed yesterday after his contract with Flamengo expired.
Adriano told the press and fans he has already been welcomed by the key figures at the club, including coach Claudio Ranieri and captain Francesco Totti.
"I spoke with Ranieri, he also wanted me when he was at Chelsea," revealed the former Inter star.
"I've also spoken with Totti and [Daniele] De Rossi and understand this is a family. They told me, that together we can win and make Roma a bigger and better team."
The striker, who missed out on a place in Brazil's World Cup squad, has signed a three-year deal worth €5 million per season plus any bonuses he may achieve at the Stadio Olimpico.
The forward has chosen the number 8 shirt.
