The manager says his priority remains retaining the league title rather than success on the European stage.
Juventus coach Antonio Conte says winning the Serie A title is more important to the Turin giants than going all the way in the Europa League.
The reigning Italian champions continued their charge to a third consecutive Scudetto with a 1-0 victory at Genoa on Sunday, three days after drawing 1-1 with Fiorentina in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16 tie.
Conte has said that Juventus faces a tough task to make it to the quarterfinals of the competition, but has made it clear that European success is not the top priority this season.
"I always said the Scudetto was our main priority, to give the third consecutive title to the president," the Juventus coach told reporters. "Of course we also want to progress in the Europa League, but the primary objective has always been the Scudetto. Fiorentina have a clear advantage with the first leg result.
"Reading the papers and listening to what people say, it felt as if on Friday they had already celebrated Juve’s elimination from the Europa League."
Juve is 17 points clear of Roma at the top of Serie A, but Rudi Garcia's side has two games in hand.
