The Frenchman has called upon his side's more experienced players to guide their younger colleagues to help the club develop into a major team.
The French champion has dominated the transfer market in recent years, bringing established stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani to the Parc des Princes.
But the former France coach believes that big-name signings should also be used to guide their colleagues.
"Experienced players who have played in European football for a certain amount of time have to help the young players adapt so they progress," he is quoted as saying by Le10Sport. "In every big team, you need big players but also young players who adapt rapidly to have a competitive team.
"With players like [Adrien] Rabiot and [Hervin] Ongenda, it's a sign that Paris can buy players but also develop young players at the same time because the Paris region is full of them."
PSG, which beat Bordeaux in the Coupe de la Ligue on Tuesday, hosts Nantes in Ligue 1 on Sunday as the club continues its title defense.
