The Borussia Dortmund striker feels that the Frenchman should be recognized for his superior workrate and the role he played in Bayern Munich's treble triumph.
The players have been short-listed for the prestigious prize along with Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, who is bidding for his fifth title in a row.
However, many pundits suspect that it will be a straight fight between Ribery and Ronaldo, and Lewandowski feels that the France winger has the edge on account of his superior workrate and treble success with Bayern Munich last season.
