UEFA to hold draw to determine Fenerbahce Europa League replacement

Those who are eliminated from the Europa League playoffs could yet make the group stage after Fenerbahce's ban from European football for two years was upheld.
UEFA has concluded that those who lose their Europa League playoff ties on Thursday will be entered into a draw on Friday to see who progresses to the group stage following Fenerbahce's expulsion.

The Turkish club has had its two-year ban from European competition for match-fixing upheld by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) following an appeal to have it overturned. Defeat to Arsenal in the preliminary stages of the Champions League has meant that the club would have entered the group stage of the Europa League.

UEFA's Emergency Panel has now confirmed it will stage a draw on Friday to determine who replaces Ersun Yanal's men this season.
