The former Chelsea striker inked an 18-month deal with the reigning Turkish champions on Monday, to leave Shanghai Shenhua after last just six months in China, and his new club are delighted to have lured the Cote d'Ivoire international back to Europe.
"Drogba fits in very well at Galatasaray and I am confident that he will be a success at this club," Aysal told GSTV.
"We sat down in the morning to discuss a transfer and had already reached an agreement in the evening. Drogba is very pleased to sign for a club like Galatasaray."
The 34-year-old is the Champions League hopefuls' second high-profile signing of the January transfer window after previously capturing Wesley Sneijder from Inter.
