Marc Wilson suffers broken leg during Stoke draw with Sunderland

The Potters left back revealed the extent of his injury via Twitter after coming off the worse in a challenge with Black Cats striker Steven Fletcher on Saturday.
Stoke City defender Marc Wilson has confirmed the fears surrounding the injury he sustained against Sunderland on Saturday by confirming he has broken his leg.

The 25-year-old picked up the injury following a challenge he made on Black Cats striker Steven Fletcher and was subsequently stretchered from the field of play.

"I have broken my fibula. Hopefully I can make a speedy recovery," Wilson wrote on Twitter.

Tony Pulis' options to cover the left back position are limited, with no senior specialist in the position available.

The Stoke manager has used four natural center backs in his defense in the past, however, and could deploy right fullback Andy Wilkinson on the opposite flank as an alternative.
