The Reds' ace believes his country is on the right 'path' towards reaching Brazil in two years time, while he is not fazed about competition for places in the squad.

Speaking ahead of Turkey's first qualifier against Netherlands, Sahin claimed the team has been given a sense of direction by new coach Abdullah Avci, and is more than equipped to book a place in the showpiece event.
"We are on the right path, I'm certain we'll be there in 2014," the midfielder told reporters. "Competition is necessary in every team, we would all like to have starting positions. However, it's up to the coach."
As well as the Oranje, Turkey has also been paired with Andorra, Estonia, Hungary and Romania in Group D.
