Borussia Dortmund-bound Marco Reus: I never demanded playing guarantees at Bayern Munich
The Germany international has dismissed reports suggesting that he snubbed the Bavarians, because they refused to promise him a regular place in the starting XI

Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Marco Reus has made it clear that he never demanded guaranteed first team football at Bayern Munich.
The Germany international was continually being linked with the Bavarians in the past few months, but eventually decided to sign for Borussia Dortmund instead.
A recent report suggested that his move to Bayern fell through because he had asked for a guaranteed starting berth, but Reus has now insisted that this was not the case.
"Various sources have reported that I had demanded a starting berth, but that is complete non-sense. That would simply be impossible. Everybody has to fight for his place," Reus said to Sky Sport News.
"I'll have to give 100 percent at Borussia Dortmund as well in order to make it into the team. These kinds of reports are obviously annoying as they are not true, but this is all in the past now. I have to focus on my football again."
Reus will take on Bayern Munich with Gladbach on Friday evening in the club's first Bundesliga match after the winter break.
