The Frenchman appeared to aggressively invite a Gunners supporter onto the pitch at the end of the game, but club insist he said: "No matter what, you should support your team"Thierry Henry became embroiled in an argument with a furious fan after Arsenal’s 3-2 defeat at Swansea on Sunday.
Henry appeared to invite the angry supporter down onto the pitch in a provocative manner at the end of a thrilling encounter which saw the Welsh hosts come from behind to outplay their more illustrious opponents and secure a shock victory.
The Frenchman’s fairytale return to Arsenal on loan was tainted slightly by giving the ball away in the buildup to Danny Graham’s 70th minute winner, and he then appeared to be incensed by a comment from a fan as he went over to applaud the visiting support.
A club spokesperson afterwards claimed Henry had said only the words: “No matter what, you should support your team."
Television pictures, however, seem to show him shouting and gesturing angrily towards the traveling Arsenal faithful.
