Robinho has advised compatriot Alexandre Pato to remain with AC Milan, amid reports linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The former Real Madrid and Manchester City forward also endorsed his club's attempts to sign Carlos Tevez on loan from City.

Talks between Milan and City about Tevez have reached the crucial stages as the Rossoneri are determined to sign the Argentina international this winter.

"I’ve played with Tevez at City. I can guarantee that he is a great player," Robinho was quoted as saying by Il Corriere dello Sport. "I would advise Pato to stay here at Milan. I think that he could win the Ballon d'Or one day."

Robinho then went on to talk about his own ambitions to become the best in the world and believes he would be among the top attackers today if he was more ruthless in front of goal.

The 27-year-old was responsible for one of the misses of the season earlier this term against Genoa, and Robinho realizes that he has to score more in order to be considered a top player.

"Mamma mia, I couldn't sleep after that miss against Genoa. I have to be more ruthless in front of goal, more focused," he admitted.

"I'm sure that if I were to score 15-20 goals a season, I'd be one of the top five attacking players in the world. I'm working at it."
