Oscar Cardozo believes that his Benfica side has the quality to not just win the Portuguese league, but also to bring the European Cup back to the Estadio da Luz.

The Lisbon club went into the winter break level on points with the reigning domestic champions Porto, but the Paraguayan, who has scored eight league goals to date, is confident that it can wrestle the title from its arch-rivals.

"Being champions is something that every player always wants," Cardozo told Record.pt. "But they goal is also to bring back the Champions League. We have the team to win the Champions League."

Benfica lines up against Zenit St Petersburg in the last-16 of the Champions League. The two teams will face off on February 15, with the first leg to be played in Zenit's Petrovsky Stadium.
