Lewis Holtby apologizes to Schalke fans for derby defeat to Borussia Dortmund
The 21-year-old midfielder and his teammate Alexander Baumjohann took to Twitter to make amends to the club's supporters following the weekend derby defeat.

Lewis Holtby has apologized to Schalke fans for the derby defeat to Borussia Dortmund on Saturday.
Huub Stevens' side was beaten 2-0 by its local rival at the Signal Iduna Park when Robert Lewandowski and Felipe Santana scored in either half for the reigning German champion.
After the wake of the game, Holtby took to Twitter to apologize to his supporters.
"Mega sh*t!!! An apology to all Schalke fans. Many thanks for your support anyway!!!" the 21-year-old commented on the social media website.
Meanwhile, his teammate Alexander Baumjohann also expressed his disappointment with the defeat via Twitter.
"Today we have not risen to the challenge that was presented to us. The disappointment is huge, but we must look ahead now."
Despite the defeat to Borussia Dortmund, Schalke sits in fifth place in the Bundesliga, four points behind its local rival, which tops the table.
