Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has received some positive news in the buildup to Saturday's La Liga match against Valencia as Kaka has resumed regular training after a spell on the sidelines.

The attacking midfielder picked up a calf injury two weeks ago and had since been working on his recovery.

He was forced to withdraw from the Brazil squad for the international friendlies against Gabon and Egypt due to the knock.

However, Real Madrid has now confirmed on its official website that the former AC Milan star has returned to the training pitch and should be available for the match at the Mestalla.

La Liga table-topper Madrid will be hoping to maintain its three-point lead over second-placed Barcelona at the weekend by bagging the full three points against Valencia.
