Guti turns down MLS to stay with Turkish club Besiktas

The experienced midfielder has made it clear that he will stay in Turkey, despite the recent rumors linking him with a move to USA
Former Spain international Guti has made it clear that he will stay at Turkish powerhouse Besiktas for at least one more season.

The 34-year-old playmaker has continually been linked with a move to Major League Soccer, but has revealed that he will not leave the club at the end of the current campaign.

"I will stay in Istanbul at Besiktas for next season," he commented on his official Twitter account.

Guti moved to Turkey from Real Madrid in the summer of 2010 and immediately developed into a key player at the Istanbul-based outfit.

The influential midfielder has been unable to guide his team to league success as they sit only sixth in the standings, but did help clinch victory in the Turkish cup as they beat Istanbul Buyuksehir Belediyespor on penalty kicks on Wednesday evening.
