Carlos Salcido Heading For PSV Exit
The Mexican defender has expressed his desire to move on.
Mexican international Carlos Salcido has once again expressed his desire to leave Eredivisie powerhouse PSV. The defender is reportedly unhappy with his current situation and wants to move on.
"I am considering my options at PSV. It appears as if the head coach [Fred Rutten] doesn't consider me as a first team regular. Therefore, I'm thinking about leaving the club," Salcido was quoted as saying by Mexican reporters.
"Returning to Mexico is not yet an option for me though. My current PSV contract is ongoing and I'm not planning on leaving Europe just yet. I'm still young enough to make it at another European side."
Salcido joined PSV from Guadalajara in 2006 and immediately developed into an important first team member. However, the 29-year-old has lost his spot in the starting XI under new coach Fred Rutten and is keen to get regular first team football somewhere else.
