Mexico set to kick off new year in United States again

El Tri has opened its year in the United States for the last 11 years, with five wins in its last 10 matches
For the 12th straight year, Mexico will kick off the new year with a match in the United States. In 2013, El Tri will face Denmark in a friendly in Phoenix on Wednesday night.

In its previous 10 year-opening matches, Mexico has posted a record of five wins, three draws, and two losses. El Tri has won its last three such matches in a row.
