thumbnail Hello,

FIFA has moved to punish the agent for insulting president Sepp Blatter and UEFA counterpart Michel Platini back in October.

FIFA has fined controversial agent Mino Raiola, who handles the affairs of stars such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Balotelli, for making offensive comments regarding FIFA president Sepp Blatter and UEFA president Michel Platini.

The Italian had referred to Blatter as as a "demented dictator" and called Platini "a mafia boss," and he also called into question the voting process behind the Ballon d'Or award, claiming that the Swedish striker deserves to have won it.

Accordingly, he has been forced to pay 5,000 Swiss Francs as punishment for the insult and an additional 1,000 for the cost of the disciplinary proceedings.

Ibrahimovic eventually came 10th in the running for the Ballon d'Or, with Lionel Messi scooping the prize for the fourth time in a row.

Raiola also represents the likes of Paul Pogba, Mark van Bommel and Pavel Nedved.
