Report: Perez Wants Real Madrid Clear Out

The Galacticos' faltering form has not pleased the president.

Florentino Perez has moved forward his plans to off-load Real Madrid's fringe stars by telling Jorge Valdano and Miguel Pardeza to find buyers for at least six players.

The 'White House' supremo is frustrated at the stuttering start his new-look side have made to the season and thinks that the squad is bloated.

Plans were in place to trim the numbers at the end of the current campaign but Perez now wants to see players sold in January to reduce the club's wage bill, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

Forcing Raul out would be difficult and instead the president is keen to try and tempt the striker to move upstairs and hang up his boots at the end of season.

Guti could yet be sold unless coach Manuel Pellegrini can convince those above him that the midfielder will re-enter his squad plans after a recent fall out.

Others who are allegedly set to be offered to other clubs are Mahamadou Diarra, Fernando Gago, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Jerzy Dudek, Royston Drenthe and Christophe Metzelder.

Having spent around €250 million in the summer, Perez is not keen on the rotation policy that sees his stars left out on occasion and would rather see a settled side each week.
