Canadian Real Madrid Training Session Attracts Thousands Of Fans

After arriving in Canada, Los Merengues have been greeted in style by the supporters.

Real Madrid's trip to Canada has proved to be a huge success as the Spanish giants attracted no less than 18,000 supporters to watch them in their first training session.

Los Merengues jetted in on Thursday and that same evening the crowds were in the BMP Field en masse to see their heroes up close.

An incredible amount of people attended the open practice ahead of the game against Toronto on Friday evening, and the fans enjoyed watching how the Madrid players are put through their paces.

According to the club's official website, a round of warm-up exercises and drills were followed by one-touch work and then a game.

Coach Manuel Pellegrini split his squad into two, with Xabi Alonso, Raul Albiol, Alvaro Arbeloa and Kaka all on display ahead of their first team debuts for the club.

In orange bibs were Casillas, Torres, Metzelder, Garay, Drenthe, Xabi Alonso, Granero, Kaka, Robben, Raul and Benzema, while in training shirts were Dudek, Arbeloa, Pepe, Albiol, Adant, Lass, Guti, Sneijder, Cristiano Ronaldo, Higuain and Negredo.

The orange bibs won 5-1, with Ronaldo's goal receiving a huge cheer from the supporters in a game that saw Arjen Robben net a hat-trick and avoid injury.
