Raul has expresses his satisfaction at having equaled Alfredo Di Stefano's goal-scoring record, but he is not getting carried away just yet.
Speaking to reporters after the match in which he scored the landmark goal, Raul said, "I am very happy, and I hope to pass the record in the coming games."
"This has been possible because of all the great coaches and players I have played with at Real Madrid."
There are yet more records waiting to be broken by Raul, including the most minutes played for Real Madrid, but he is not concerned, stating, "What I want is to win more titles."
"What is important is that we beat Numancia," continued Raul. "It was a complicated match and I am glad we could win it."
"Now we must continue working, and I am already thinking of the next game."
Finally, he spoke of Real Madrid's title chances, saying, "We have not been nine points away from Barca for a long time, so we expect that we can cut the gap further."
