thumbnail Hello,

Goal lists all of the teams who have reached the knockout stage after an action-packed final round of group stage games

The last 16 teams left in the Champions League this season are now known ahead of Monday's knockout stage draw in Nyon, Switzerland. Now a question for Goal readers: Which club will win the UCL title? (Vote below)

Manchester United topped Group A unbeaten to banish its recent domestic woes, while Bayer Leverkusen edged through in second on Tuesday with a tight victory over bottom-placed Real Sociedad.

Group B contained the biggest shock in the tournament so far as Galatasaray snatched second spot from Juventus' jaws to qualify behind runaway winner Real Madrid.

Paris Saint-Germain waltzed to first place in Group C, with Olympiakos winning the scrap for the runners-up slot ahead of Benfica thanks to its superior head-to-head record.

A stunning comeback from Manchester City in its final game against Bayern Munich was not enough to allow it to finish above the reigning champion in Group D.

Two defeats were unable to prevent 2011-12 tournament winner Chelsea from claiming top spot, with Schalke sneaking second thanks to its triumph at the Veltins Arena over Basel on Wednesday.

The group of death truly lived up to its name for once: Napoli was eliminated despite beating Arsenal in its final fixture due to inferior head-to-head goal difference behind Borussia Dortmund and the Gunners in Group F. All three teams finished on 12 points.

Atletico Madrid comfortably qualified for the last 16 on its return to the elite European stage, but Zenit St Petersburg can count its lucky stars that it went through after losing its final game of Group G to bottom-placed Austria Vienna.

And finally, Barcelona carved its name in first place in Group H thanks to a Neymar-inspired victory over Celtic on Wednesday, while AC Milan scraped through with 10 men in its last game of the stage at home to a dominant Ajax, after a 0-0 draw between the sides.

Interestingly, the last 16 this season contains 10 sides which also made the knockout stage in the 2012-13 campaign.
