The Argentine is aware of the tough test his side will face on Wednesday, but believes that form suggests that a win is a distinct possibilityReal Madrid winger Angel Di Maria is upbeat ahead of his team's Champions League group game with Borussia Dortmund, claiming that a continuation of the team's recent performances should be enough to gain three points.
Despite a lackluster start to their league season, Los Blancos are the only side in Group D to have maintained a 100 percent record in the competition, and a win in Germany could go some way to confirming a place in the knockout stages.
"We know it will not be easy," explained the 24-year-old, speaking to reporters. "But if we play our game, and continue to play the way we have done so far, hopefully we can get the win.
"We have been doing well lately. We started off badly in the league, but we feel good at the moment. We are happy with what we're doing and we always aspire to win every competition."
Di Maria also announced that he would be prepared to feature in whatever role Jose Mourinho sees fit, as long as he managed to get onto the pitch.
"I haven't spoken to Mourinho about playing specifically on the left hand side. The important thing for me is that I want to play. I will happily play wherever he puts me, and I'll always do my best for the team," he said.
