The Scotland international has not played a competitive game since last November following medical advice, but has been included for the upcoming European campaign
Darren Fletcher has been included in Manchester United’s squad for the Champions League group stages starting in September.
The 28-year-old has not represented the club in a competitive match since appearing against Benfica on November 22 last year following medical advice.
Fletcher managed a short cameo during Neil Simpson's testimonial in preseason, and has now been included in 33-man squad, consisting of 25 ‘A-List’ players and eight ‘B-List’.
United has been drawn in Group H alongside Galatasaray, Braga and CFR Cluj and will be looking to improve upon last season’s disappointing group-stage exit.
