David Luiz: Playing the Champions League final is every player's dream

The Brazilian stopper has vowed to be fit for the match against the Bavarian giants, while sharing his emotions at being able to take part in such a mouthwatering contest

Chelsea defender David Luiz has spoken of his excitement in the build-up to Saturday's Champions League final against Bayern Munich.

The Brazil international is expected to be fit for the showpiece after struggling with a hamstring injury in recent weeks.

"This is the most important match in the world for the big clubs and I am very happy to be able to play this final," Luiz told ESPN.

"The best players in the world want to play this match and I am no exception. I want to play and I am counting the days and the minutes left.

"This has been a dream of mine since I was a little kid in Brazil, and now I have the opportunity to play this match."

Luiz's center back colleague Gary Cahill insisted on Tuesday that he will also be able to take part in the match at the Allianz Arena after picking up an injury in the semifinal clash against Barcelona in April.
