Several members of the Bundesliga champion have revealed they will be cheering for their domestic rival in the continental competition.
The Bavarian club hosts Los Blancos in the first leg on Tuesday as it looks to secure a place in the final, which will be held at the Allianz Arena.
Despite the rivalry between the two German clubs, Dortmund's players have confessed that they will be cheering for Jupp Heynckes' men in Europe.
"I will be rooting for Bayern today, because they are a German team," Lukasz Piszczek told reporters. "Germany needs the points in the club ranking."
Robert Lewandowski, for his part, admitted that he has no interest in what has been described as a dream final between Madrid and Barcelona, and is tipping Bayern to come out on top of Tuesday's match.
"I do not want to watch a final between two Spanish clubs," the Polish striker stated. "I think Bayern will win today."
Quizzed on the continental tie, Dortmund midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski said: "I think it is important for German football that Bayern reach the final.
"But of course, Real can beat Bayern. They have a lot of quality."
