After Friday's draw in Nyon, there is now the possibility that the Catalans could meet Los Blancos in Munich, but the Blaugrana boss is refusing to look past the Rossoneri.Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola claims that he is not even thinking about the prospect of a Champions League final clash with rival Real Madrid, insisting that his sole concern is on getting past quarterfinal opponent AC Milan.
Friday's draw in Nyon has thrown up the possibility of the Blaugrana and Los Blancos meeting in the tournament decider at the Allianz Arena in May, a development which has generated great excitement within the footballing community.
However, Guardiola insists that it would be foolish for Barca to look beyond Milan, a side which gave the Catalans plenty of trouble during the two encounters in the group stage of this season's competition.
“I’m not even thinking about the semifinal against either Benfica or Chelsea yet,” he exclaimed when asked about a potential meeting with Madrid in Munich during a press conference on Friday. “And the quarterfinal will be very difficult in itself. Milan will be very tough. We'll need the support of the fans. They have experienced players, they create chances easily and have a good defence.
“But to win the Champions League, you have to beat the best. And Milan are one of the best."
Barcelona will travel to San Siro for the first leg on March 28 before welcoming the Rossoneri to Camp Nou for the return fixture on April 3.
