The World Cup winning coach believes that Napoli can make something of its Champions League campaign despite its tough draw

Marcello Lippi believes that Napoli can take something positive away from it Champions League campaign if it approaches its matches with confidence.

The World Cup winning tactician, who reached four Champions League finals as Juventus' coach in the 1990s, has reflected upon Napoli's tough draw and what the side must do in order to get be successful.

"Undoubtedly, it is the most difficult group of all but Napoli must have faith in their chances. The club have reinforced well in the transfer window and are growing," he said, according to TuttoMercatoWeb. "Their inexperience at this level can be countered with the right amounts of enthusiasm and ruthlessness," argued the former Italy coach.

He then turned his attention to Wednesday's group stage match against the Manchester club and suggested the its Italian opposition matches up quite well against the Premier League high-flyers.

"City's attackers are very strong but Napoli's strike-force is equal to them," said Lippi. "Manchester City are a great team, leading the Premier League, but Napoli at this time are also considered a great squad. It will be a difficult game but not impossible even if City are one of the most feared clubs in Europe at this moment."
