Xavi: Barcelona Were The Better Team Against Rubin Kazan

The midfield playmaker said all they lacked was a goal.

Barcelona midfielder Xavi said his team were the better side in their scoreless draw away to Rubin Kazan in the UEFA Champions League.

The draw means Barca are second in Group F, level with the Russian champions on five points with two games remaining but Xavi insists his side has no doubts about their ability.

"We have no doubts, none at all. Everyone can see we were the better team but all we lacked was a goal," Xavi told Spanish television station TVE.

"We are playing well, pressuring high up the field and creating opportunities but the only thing today is we failed to score."

Barcelona host group leaders Inter before another tough trip to to Dynamo Kiev in the final group game and need to win both games to guarantee a place in the knockout phase.
