Xavi: Alarm Bells After Rubin Kazan Defeat Unjustified
The midfield maestro insists the Blaugrana are in good shape.
Barcelona midfielder Xavi has insisted that the reaction to their midweek UEFA Champions League defeat to Rubin Kazan at Camp Nou was unjustified and he believes the Blaugrana are in good form going into Sunday's game against Real Zaragoza.
"It was an unexpected defeat, but a game in which the game of Barcelona was good and in which we dominated the opposition," he said at a press conference.
"We think we're doing things right. The day of the Valencia things were not perfect, but against Rubin we were more ourselves. The team is comfortable, we feel good and believe that we are following the right line.
"There is no problem. That was a game we would usually win but that set off alarm bells after the Rubin game, which was unjust."
The 29-year-old playmaker says he expects a difficult game against Zaragoza at Camp Nou on Sunday night.
"They [Zaragoza] are unpredictable, competitive, very physical, very brave, and have a defense system that works," he noted.
