Arsenal's Adebayor Confident Of Champions League Success
The Togo international believes the Gunners will overcome Roma in the last 16 before going all the way to the final.
Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor is backing the club to progress to the final of the Champions League this season.
The 25-year-old Togo international has not been quite as clinical in front of goal this campaign, finding the back of the net just 12 times so far, compared to 30 last year.
However, the former Metz star is remaining upbeat despite manager Arsene Wenger recently ruling him out of the tie against Roma on Wednesday.
The 2008 African Player of the Year found the back of the net against Milan at the San Siro last season and insists he will repeat the feat of scoring a Champions League goal in Italy this year.
"After Wednesday’s game, we will play the final at the Olimpico," Adebayor is reported as saying by Setanta.
"I have already scored in Milan and I’m eager to do the same in Rome."
The 6ft 3in forward also revealed his favourite clubs outside of England, stating, "Barcelona make me dream but I also like Real Madrid and Milan, who have very good players."
