Both Manchester teams were sent packing from the Champions League. Despite defeating Bayern 2-0, City was eliminated after Napoli's victory over Villarreal. United was shocked 2-1 by Basel.

Blues Surge Through

Chelsea advanced to the final 16 of the Champions League with a convincing 3-0 home victory over Valencia. Didier Drogba had a brace to help lift some of the pressure off Andre Villas-Boas.

Group Winners

Barcelona claimed the top spot in Group H with a 3-2 win over Milan at the San Siro, with Xavi scoring the winner in the second half. Milan goes through as group runner-up.

Hanging By A Thread

Napoli dealt Manchester City's hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the Champions League a severe blow by recording a 2-1 victory at San Paolo. If Napoli beats Villarreal next, Man City is out.
