Wolfsburg Striker Edin Dzeko: We Deserved The Win Against Besiktas
Dzeko believes that if die Wolfe can replicate the form they showed against the Black Eagles, they can move into the knock-out phase of the prestigious competition...
Reigning Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg picked up a comfortable 3-0 away victory against Turkish powerhouse Besiktas on Tuesday evening, and prolific striker Edin Dzeko was pleased with both the style and the substance.
"We played better over the 90 minutes and deserved the win against Besiktas," the Bosnia-Herzegovina forward told reporters
"However, the game against CSKA in Moscow will be difficult because if they win they can take second place. But we have a very good team. If we play like we did [on Tuesday night] in Moscow, it won't be a problem.
"The Besiktas fans were amazing. It was really exciting to play here. The atmosphere was something new for us. We played very well and we prevailed in most of the one-on-one situations."
Wolfsburg sit second in the group with seven points from four games. Besiktas have collected only one point and sit rock bottom.
