Dispersal Draft Scatters LA Sol Players Across The League

WPS divvied up the LA Sol's players, after the cup finalists discontinued operations.

With LA Sol disbanding, Women's Professional Soccer relocated the team's players via the dispersal draft Thursday.

Saint Louis Athletica had to trade several players to the Atlanta Beat for the first pick, which it used to select Sol captain and WPS All-Star Shannon Boxx.

Four-time World Player Of The Year Marta slipped to third, as the Philadelphia Independence selected goalkeeper Karina LeBlanc second. Marta will stay in California with FC Gold Pride.
