USA match against Ukraine moved to Cyprus

The USA's match against Ukraine has been moved to Cyprus according to the European nation's Football Federation.
The USA's March 5 friendly against Ukraine will now be played in Cyprus.

The Football Federation of Ukraine (FFU) announced Tuesday that the friendly has been moved from the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv to the tiny island nation.

The FFU said on its website that the decision was made after the U.S. Soccer Federation requested the match be moved for safety reasons given the political unrest and violence currently taking place in Ukraine.

“After discussions with the Ukrainian Football Federation, we have decided not to play in Ukraine on March 5 and are planning to move the match to a city in Cyprus," read a statement released by the USSF on Tuesday afternoon. "We are in the final stages of discussions with Ukraine and the Cyprus Football Association to determine the location and kickoff time. We hope to have confirmation on all the match details by Wednesday.”
