Kyle Beckerman added to USA roster

The RSL captain could add to his 25 caps when the Yanks face Honduras in his club's home stadium.
U.S. national team head coach Jurgen Klinsmann has added Real Salt Lake midfielder Kyle Beckerman to his squad ahead of the USA's World Cup qualifier against Honduras on Tuesday, June 18. The addition brings the number of players in the squad to 24.

Beckerman, 31, has made 25 appearances for the U.S. national team, scoring one goal, and is the captain of Real Salt Lake, whose Rio Tinto stadium will be the venue as the United States hosts Honduras.

The USA is currently in first place in the final round of CONCACAF region qualifying for the 2014 World Cup, and its only loss in the hexagonal came in Honduras, when Los Catrachos won 2-1 on February 6. Honduras is currently occupying fourth place.
