thumbnail Hello,

Herculez Gomez is among the eleven players added to Klinsmann's U.S. national team camp ahead of the final slate of matches before World Cup qualifying begins.

The United States men's national team roster has been filled out for the team's training camp ahead of its final matches before beginning qualification for the 2014 World Cup.

Santos Laguna striker Herculez Gomez was the most notable of the names called up by manager Jurgen Klinsmann, who also brought in MLS players Chris Wondolowski and Geoff Cameron.

"We are excited now to get towards full numbers with the MLS guys and also the players from Europe who are coming in with great form," said Klinsmann. "We want them to pick up the rhythm as fast as possible and make them understand that we are taking the next couple weeks very seriously. We will continue with our rhythm of two trainings a day and see where the players are really at before we make our final decisions on the 23-man roster for the upcoming games."

The Houston Dynamo's Cameron will be joined in defense by Clarence Goodson (Brondby), Oguchi Onyewu (Sporting Lisbon), and Michael Parkhurst (Nordsjaelland). Sporting Kansas City playmaker Graham Zusi was the lone midfielder in the eleven, which features six attacking players: Juan Agudelo (Chivas USA), Jozy Altidore (AZ Alkmaar), Terrence Boyd (Borussia Dortmund), Landon Donovan (LA Galaxy), Herculez Gomez (Santos), and Chris Wondolowski (San Jose Earthquakes).

The United States will play Scotland at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, FL on May 26 and Brazil at FedEx Field in Landover, MD on May 30, before heading north of the border to face Canada at BMO Field on June 3.

Qualifying begins on June 8, when the United States takes on Antigua & Barbuda at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.
