USA Goalkeeper Brad Guzan Joins Hull City On One-Month Loan
Guzan will make his debut against Leicester on Saturday.
By Seth Vertelney
Brad Guzan has found playing time hard to come by at Aston Villa behind fellow American Brad Friedel, but a month-long loan to Hull City in the English Championship should change that.
Guzan's appearances have been limited with Aston Villa since his move from MLS in 2008, but it appears the 26 year-old will make his Hull debut on Saturday in a league match against Leicester City.
Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone had been on loan at Hull, but a thigh injury ruled him out for a month and left the Tigers in need of a replacement. Guzan's USA teammate Jozy Altidore spent the 2009-10 season on loan at Hull, a season that saw the Tigers relegated to the Championship.
