USA Name 22 Players To Face Denmark
Edgar Castillo finally gets the official call for Bob Bradley’s team.
U.S. Men’s National Team coach Bob Bradley has named his 23-man roster to face Denmark at NRGi Park in Aarhus on Wednesday.
The game will be at 2:30 p.m. ET, and will feature two teams headed for South Africa next summer. The team is virtually the same as the one that faced Slovakia on Saturday.
Added to the team is Stuart Holden and Ricardo Clark, both of whom were involved in the Western Conference Final with their club team, the Houston Dynamo on Friday night. Also included is Edgar Castillo from Tigres, marking his first call-up since switching alliegences from Mexico to the Red, White, and Blue. Jose Francisco Torres of Pachuca was initially called up, but bowed out due to "personal reasons."
Steve Cherundolo, Clint Dempsey and Chad Marshall were released back to their club teams following Saturday’s contest with Slovakia.
